Between Moments

So you start out, living up a dream with high expectations. Of course, as relationships go on, we realize nothing is perfect. You think about your current situation, where the only time you smile is in old photographs.

Your dreams have been washed away by the cold truth.

♪ Softly we tremble tonight, picture perfect fading smiles are all that’s left in sight ♪

It’s not like either one of you were intending to break your promises.

♪ You said you would die for me
I said I’d never leave ♪

But it’s pushed you into a stale mate; both taking each other for granted - playing a cat and mouse game - doing things selfishly without thinking about how it affects the other person.

♪ We made plans to grow old,
believe me there was truth in all those stories that I told.
Lost in a simple game cat and mouse
Are we the same people as before this came to light? ♪

Realizing that what you wanted from the start, may not be what you really want down the road. Everything does come with a price, and sometimes it’s a broken dream, or a broken heart.

It seems everyone, in some point of life, goes through a situation like this. Coming to the point in a relationship where you realize that the person you have spent so much time with isn’t the person that you thought they were.
