Blogging’s been very infrequent lately simply because of a crazy work schedule. Don’t see it ending until the second half of August either…
However, I’m glad to say that my group of over-40 would-be mountain climbers is on its way! We’ve made concrete plans to climb Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, Malaysia, around Easter next year. We’ll book it over the next couple of weeks to make sure we don’t weasel out.
While I was in the US, I came across the Insanity video workouts. That looked a little too extreme but I managed to acquire Tony Horton’s P90X set and they seem to be doing the trick (together with being more careful about my diet) - my body fat gains from gigantic US meals have fallen off and I’ve lost a couple of cm from my waist after about a week and a half of limping through the workouts as best I can.
One thing I will say is that it really sucks trying to do P90X lean during “women’s week” - my energy is at an all-time low.
More about various topics in this post later (I hope).
